Mr. Sanjiv Mehta, Chairman and Managing Director of Hindustan Unilever Limited; President of Unilever South Asia; and Member of the Unilever Leadership Executive, took over as FICCI President for 2021-2022 from Mr. Uday Shankar today during the 94th Annual Convention of the top chamber in New Delhi.
Sanjiv Mehta is an Indian business leader who serves as the chairman and managing director of Hindustan Unilever Limited, India's largest FMCG company. Mehta joined Hindustan Unilever as CEO and MD in October 2013 and was named chairman and MD in June 2018. As cluster president, he also oversees Unilever's South Asian operations, which include operations in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. Mehta is a member of Unilever's worldwide executive board, the Unilever Leadership Executive.
