Google India published their compliance report addressing the deletion of contents under IT Rules 2021.

According to the 'Information Technology Rules, 2021,' social media networks in India with more than 50 lakh users must submit compliance reports every month, including the specifics of complaints received and measures done. The Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 were published by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) in 2021 and went into effect on May 26, 2021.

As per Google's transparency report, which was announced at the end of July, Google India deleted over 150,000 types of information from its social media platforms in May and June, and it also took discharge behavior on 11,61,223 bits of quality as a consequence of the automatic vehicle detection phase during May-June. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) issued the Information Technology Rules, 2021 in February 2021.
