Why is Firefox not responding on my Mac?

  • Close Firefox and then open it again. To exit Firefox, press the 'Command' and 'q' keys simultaneously. Alternatively, you can pick Quit Firefox from the menu bar by clicking Firefox. If Firefox isn't responding, force it to close. Select Firefox and then click Force Quit by pressing 'Option,' 'Command,' and 'Esc (Escape)' together (or select the Force Quit option from the Apple menu). Then reopen Firefox and run a test to see whether the problem persists.
