The first BRICS Sherpas summit in 2022 was hosted by China. The inaugural BRICS Sherpas meeting of 2022 took place virtually on January 18-19, 2022, with participants praising India for hosting the BRICS in 2021. China would take up the rotating chairmanship of the BRICS in 2022. The BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) are a grouping of five large developing economies.

Meanwhile, India'sBRICS Sherpa Sanjay Bhattacharyya stated, 'Last year, we witnessed a big success that our foreign ministers brought about in terms of the document on the growth and restructuring of the multilateral approaches.' These international administration challenges, notably the UN methods and other institutions, are vital.
