India and Israel have worked to establish 150 'Villages of Excellence' in 12 Indian states.
The
Government of India
has collaborated with the Government of Israel to establish 150 'Villages of Excellence' in
12
states of the country to assist farmers in adopting cutting-edge agriculture technologies. Israel would give technical aid as well as other
knowledge to help
agriculture become a more successful industry.
The 150 communities situated around CoEs will be transformed into
'Villages of Excellence.' In the first year, 75
villages would be taken up to mark India's 75th year of independence. The Israeli government has already created
29 Centers of Excellence (CoEs) in 12 states.
