The Women's Pan American Cup
The
2022 Women's Pan American Cup was the
6th version of the Women's Pan American Cup, the Pan American Hockey Federation's quadrennial
global women's field hockey championship of the Americas.
It was scheduled to take place in
Tacarigua, Trinidad & Tobago, from August 7 to August 22, 2021. The event was
postponed after the delay of the
2020
Summer Olympics to July and August 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the organizers
Trinidad and Tobago resigned from organizing the event on
September 4, 2020. Argentina was the
reigning champion, having won the event in 2017. They successfully defended their championship after defeating
Chile in the final. The top three teams advanced to the
FIH Hockey World Cup in 2022.
The Pan American Hockey Federation confirmed in November 2020 that the cup will be hosted in
Santiago,
Chile, from January 19 to 29, 2022.
