The Lifetime Achievement Award 2019, during the 4th APJ Abdul Kalam Innovation Conclave at Mohali, was presented to, “Dr. A. K. Singh”. Singh is the Director at Life Sciences, DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organization). The awards were announced in an event on April 15, 2019.
The event was organized by the Institute to mark the ‘World Creativity and Innovation Day’. With his research works, he made a good contribution to the field of ‘Internal Decorporation of Fission Produced Radionuclides and Infection Imaging’. He had more than 18 Project Patent on her name as well as worked in more than 57 Research Publications.
He joined DRDO in the year 1988 and continued work over many Research and Development Projects. His research work includes the development of a ‘Diagnobact Kit’, which works for the detection of the infectious lesion. He made his work counted in the fields of Life Sciences, Aerospace, and Aeronautics. He also contributed to making the ‘Infection Imaging and Internal Decorporation of Fission Produced Radionuclides’.
The best Innovative Project Award of 2019, in which 965 innovative projects have been submitted to compete against each other. The first award for the Best Innovative Project of 2019, was bagged by Pankaj Sharma, for the invention of ‘Smart Trolley Bag Project’.
Whereas, the second prize was won by ‘Pratrul and Abhishek’ jointly. ‘Pratul’ won the award for making ‘Automatic Toilet Cleaner Project’ and ‘Abhishek’ won the award for making a prototype model for 'Accident Management System’ respectively. As well as, the third prize was also awarded jointly to ‘Vaibhav and Daniyal’ for making the project over ‘Treatment of Textile Affluent and Plastic with Bio-Mass to help in Controlling Water and Air Pollution'.
