Who is Sonam Wangchuk, and why did his hunger strike matter so much?

Sonam Wangchuk is a well-known name from Ladakh, famous for his work in education and climate change. He joined the Delhi protest and went on a hunger strike for almost a month. He became like a symbol for the whole movement. Things got worse when police picked him up by force and sent him to hospital.
