Overview

Chanakya was insulted by Dhana Nanda during a ceremony for his ugly appearance including his clothes and untidiness after which the king showed disrespect for Chanakya and said to throw him out of the ceremony. Chanakya after facing such a heartily welcome by the king cursed the king.

Why was Chanakya insulted?

The great Chanakya was known for his knowledge and experience in the economic activity of any state and this was the reason behind the name and fame of the personality during the era.

Once upon a time the king of the state organized a ceremony of Alms-giving and invited several Brahmins of the state excluding Chanakya who was well known to all the other Brahmins. Later on, when all the present Brahmins found the absence of the great personality in the ceremony they asked the king about him but the king had no answers.

King after being forced out called the Chanakya in the ceremony but after looking at his appearance King ordered his soldiers to throw out him from the assembly and after which Chanakya cursed the king.

After several years Chandragupta defeat the king which disrespected the Chanakya and gave the victory to his guru.
