  • In addition to the 'To' box, an email normally has a CC field and a BCC field where you can enter email addresses. The abbreviation CC stands for 'carbon copy.' The abbreviation BCC stands for 'blind carbon copy.'
  • When you include an email address in the CC (carbon copy) field, it signifies that a copy of the email you're sending will be forwarded to that address as well.
  • When you put an email address in the BCC (blind carbon copy) field, it implies that a copy of the email you're sending will be sent to that address as well, but no one who receives the email will see the address in the BCC field.
