Technology is a mode of exposure in a way that it entails and demonstrates more meaning, integrity, and significance. Heidegger argues that people should think of technology as a mode of revelation because it reveals much more about the human person and the world.

Technology: A mode of Revealing


1. Technology is a method of revealing the Truth used to achieve goals or make life easier for us.


2. Technology is a mode of telling because it is intertwined with how we live, our practices, and our surroundings. It also provides us access to everything we want to explore while discovering and searching for the meaning of Truth.


But not all technology is the same; hence not all exposure is the same. Modern technology isn't the same as older technology. Phones are no longer communication outlets; they carry the tools necessary to manipulate our Beings—phones' convolute concealment.

When we snap a photo, we take it and alter its content; we convert the subject to the point of objectification. We treat ourselves as objects when we edit photos to gain artificial admiration.


3. When a new technology emerges, we are met with a new set of challenges, and a reevaluation of our morals will need to be drawn.

Technological development, moving from the old house phone to mobile phones, and now to smartphones, all-cause varying challenges.



4.  Technology reveals the Truth of the world. And modern technology is showing that we are not living in our world. We live in a digitally constructed dystopia, and our existence is only presented through social media.


Social media is more than a bad habit we need to break; it is a world we need to break away from.
