- The following Windows shell components have been removed:
- Tablet mode with Quick Status
- In Task View, there's a tool called Timeline.
- File Explorer's Save Search option
- Furthermore: In screens greater than 18 inches, the touch keyboard no longer docks.
- With a Microsoft account, Windows no longer synchronises desktop backgrounds across devices.
- In thumbnail view/large/extra large icon views, folder previews for photos or videos stored in that folder are deleted. Any folder containing images or videos now displays the generic folder icon.
- menu of options -Other features have been added to replace some of the Start menu's functionality.
- Groups and folders-Live tiles (the Widgets app now delivers some of the functionality previously given by the live tiles of Windows 10's included apps).
- Apps' recent and pinned files
