- Each of these Windows 11 updates will have its own support period, in addition to potentially looking extremely different. Microsoft has already said that each annual update will receive 24 months of support for both Home and Pro editions. This is extended to 36 months for Enterprise and Education editions.
- This is a significant change from Windows 10, which provided 18 months of support for each feature update. Even for Enterprise and Education users, updates were only supported for up to 30 months. This new and improved support cycle will benefit everyone.
- With the official release of Windows 11 (version 21H2) on October 5th, 2021, this version will be supported until October 10th, 2023 for Home and Pro licence holders, and until October 8th, 2024 for Enterprise and Education licence holders. When your version of Windows 11 reaches the end of its support life cycle, you'll almost certainly be obliged to upgrade to the most recent version.
