Yes, you can insert an online video into a presentation:

  • You can add an online video from YouTube or Vimeo to a slide in PowerPoint for Microsoft 365 or PowerPoint 2019.
  • The movie is played directly from the website, with all of the site's controls for playback, pausing, volume, and other features. The features of PowerPoint playback (such as fade, bookmark, and trim) do not apply to web videos.
  • Because the video is hosted on a website rather than in your presentation, you must be able to access the internet in order for it to play.
  • Add a video from the internet.
  • Locate the video you want in your browser.
  • From your browser's Address bar, copy the web page's URL.
  • Return to PowerPoint and choose the slide where you want the video to appear.
  • Select Video > Online Video from the Insert tab on the ribbon.
  • Paste the URL you copied into the Online Video dialogue box.
  • Insert is the option to choose.
