Is it allowed to make a PDF of the PowerPoint presentation?
  • Select File > Export from the File menu.
  • Then, under Create PDF/XPS Document, select Create PDF/XPS.
  • Choose a location to save the file in the Publish as PDF or XPS dialogue box. If you prefer a different name for it, type it in the File name box.
  • If you wish to change the appearance of the final PDF file, you can perform any of the following:
  • Select Standard for higher quality at Optimize for (for example, if you want to print it). To make the file smaller, select Minimum size (for example, if you want to send it as an e-mail attachment).
  • To customise the appearance of the presentation as a PDF, go to Options. Here are some of the possibilities:
  • Select Current slide under Range to save only the current slide as a PDF.
  • Enter the slide number range in the From and To boxes in Slides(s) to save individual slides as PDF.
  • Select an acceptable option under Publish what if you don't want to preserve slides but simply want to save comments, handouts, or the Outline view. You can also change the order of the slides and the number of slides that display in the Slides per page dropdown box (Horizontal or Vertical).
  • By selecting the appropriate choices, you can add frame slides, hidden slides, comments, ink, and non-printing information such as Document attributes or Document structure tags in your PDF.
  • Click the OK button.
