How do you create dropdown lists in excel?
  • When you utilise a drop-down list to limit the entries users can make in a cell, data entry is faster and more accurate. When a cell is selected, the down-arrow of the drop-down list displays, and the user can click it to make a selection.
  • Make a drop-down menu.
  • Drop-down lists can help you make a worksheet more efficient. Someone who is using your worksheet clicks an arrow, then a list entry.
  • Choose the cells in which you want the lists to appear.
  • Select DATA > Data Validation from the ribbon.
  • Set Allow to List in the dialogue.
  • Click on Source, type the text or numbers you want in your drop-down list (separated by commas for a comma-delimited list), and then click OK.
