  • You can send files as attachments to LinkedIn messages.
  • The following file types can be attached:
  • Documents CSV, XLS, XLSX, DOC, DOCX, PPT, PPTX, PDF, TXT, HTML, HTM
  • Images - GIF, JPEG, JPG, PNG, BMP
  • The total file size cannot exceed 20 megabytes.
  • To send a message with a file attachment, follow these steps:
  • At the top of your LinkedIn homepage, click the Messaging symbol.
  • On the left rail, click the Compose icon.
  • Make a note of the recipient's name.
  • In the text area, write your message.
  • To attach a picture, click the Image icon, or to attach a document, click the Attach symbol.
  • You can also attach a file by dragging it from your PC to the message box.
  • Locate the file you want to include and select it.
  • Send your message after you've finished composing it.
