- You can send files as attachments to [**LinkedIn**](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/96415/what-is-the-connection-limit-on-linkedin) messages.
- The following file types can be attached:
- **Documents** CSV, XLS, XLSX, DOC, DOCX, PPT, PPTX, PDF, TXT, HTML, HTM
- Images - GIF, JPEG, JPG, PNG, BMP
- The total file size cannot exceed 20 megabytes.
- To send a message with a file attachment, follow these steps:
- At the top of your LinkedIn homepage, click the **Messaging** symbol.
- On the left rail, click the Compose icon.
- Make a note of the recipient's name.
- In the text area, write your message.
- To attach a picture, click the Image icon, or to attach a document, click the Attach symbol.
- You can also attach a file by dragging it from your PC to the message box.
- Locate the file you want to include and select it.
- Send your message after you've finished composing it.
