How would you find friends and add them as contacts in Skype?

Use the search field to look for someone you know by entering their name, Skype name, or email address, and then clicking on their name to learn more.
To send a contact request, click Add to Contacts once you've found the person you're looking for.
You add contacts to your Skype account via contact requests, and they add you to theirs. You can accept, deny, or block a request when you receive one.
Select Contacts from the Settings menu, then click the option to Automatically add friends.
Select Address books to manage.
There will be a dialogue window that appears. You can then choose a service and input your user name and password.
After you've linked your accounts, any contacts from that service who also use Skype will be added to your Skype contacts list.
