In the final match, Carolina was leading the game with 10-4 before she withdrew from the big final. Saina Nehwal has been awarded the title of the women's singles champion of Indonesia Masters 2019. As Carolina Marin injured her right knee during the final game after landing awkwardly following a smash during the first set of the game in finals. She put all her hard work to carry on but she was in severe pain and being unable to bear the pain and continue the game further.

While considering the previous tournaments Carolina Marin has never won the Indonesia Masters while Saina Nehwal has won it twice. In fact for Saina Nehwal, Indonesia Masters was the first BWF Super series title she won way back in 2009. Out of the previously faced five matches between both the players, Saina faced the win only once in the Denmark Open 2017. So, there were great chances of Marin to win the title but unfortunately, the injury made her withdraw from the finals and ultimately Nehwal was announced as the Winner of Indonesian Masters title.

The Daihatsu Indonesia Masters 2019, was organized at Istora Gelora Bung Karno in Jakarta, Indonesia. This has been the Nehwal's second consecutive final at the Super 500 tournament of DAIHATSU Indonesian Masters 2019. This tournament was organized by the Badminton Association of Indonesia under the sanction from the BWF (Badminton World Federation). The Indonesian Masters Championship was first organized in the year 2010, and this has been the 3rd tournament of the Championship. 2019, event was organized in Indonesia from January 22 to January 27, 2019, and had combined prize money of $350,000.
