NASA has found evidence of the unique mixture of methanol, water ice, and organic molecules on “Ultima Thule’s surface”. It is the farthest place ever explored by mankind on space.

Name the farthest place in the universe where NASAs spacecraft has recently found evidence of water

The scientific name of Ultima Thule is (486958) 2014 MU69. Researchers are also investigating a huge number of areas features on Ultima Thule, like the bright spots and patches, hills and troughs, and craters and pits on Ultima Thule.

The Ultima Thule was discovered in the year 2014, by using the ‘Hubble Space Telescope’ as the part of the search for objects of New Horizons Mission. The New Horizons spacecraft is about 6.6 billion kilometers from Earth and is still operating normally and speeding deeper into the Kuiper Belt nearly at a speed of 53,000 kilometers per hour.

The Principal Investigator of the New Horizon Mission said that ‘there is no doubt that the discoveries made about Ultima Thule are going to advance theories of solar system formation’. The New Horizons spacecraft efficiently continues to carry out new observation of additional Kuiper Belt objects it passes in the distance. The data transmission from the flyby continues and will go on until the late summer of 2020.

The color appearance of Ultima Thule is ‘Red’ or say, very red, even more than Pluto. The appearance is so Red because it is believed to be the modification of organic materials on its surface.
