Under the Lateran Treaty of 1929, the city was declared Independent after a long battle and struggle between the Popes and the Political Leaders of Italy. On February 11, 1929, Benito Mussolini and Pope Pius XI agreed over the Lateran Treaty and then the Vatican City was declared the Independent Country. Vatican City is considered as the spiritual center of the Roman Catholic Church and the home for Pope.
The approximate population of Vatican City is of 800 citizens, and among them, none of them is a native permanent resident.Vatican City chooses not to be a member of the United Nationsand has the government type is ecclesiastical and its chief of state is ‘The Pope’.
