Australia is the country that will host the next edition of ICC Women's T-20 World Cup 2020. It will be the seventh edition of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup competition. It will be an independent competition, held a half year ahead of the ICC Men T-20 World Cup. Australia is the defending champions this time and will play their opening match of the competition against India.
The competition will include 10 teams. The eight top-positioned groups dependent on completing matches from the 2018 ICC Women's World Twenty20 have qualified naturally. The staying two spots of Thailand and Bangladesh were filled through the 2019 ICC Women's World T-20 Qualifier.
