Microsoft Windows
comes in two flavors:
64-bit and 32-bit. Only 32-bit versions of Windows can be operated on 32-bit CPUs. 64-bit CPUs, on the other hand, may execute both 64-bit and 32-bit versions.
To determine if the version of Windows Take the following steps:
- Determine if Windows Vista, 7, 8, or 10 are 32-bit or 64-bit operating systems.
- Hold down the Windows and Pause keys at the same time.
- If you're running a 32-bit version of Windows, the System window lists 32-bit Operating System next to System type, and 64-bit Operating System if you're running a 64-bit version.
