You can use your Apple ID to reset your login password if your user account is linked to your Apple ID.

1. Click the arrow next to 'reset it using your Apple ID' after clicking the question mark next to the password box.

2. If no question mark appears, press and hold the power button until your Mac goes down, then click the power button to restart it.

3. Click Next after entering an Apple ID and password.
