You can use your Apple ID to reset your **login password** if your user account is linked to your Apple ID. \
**1. Click** the arrow next to '**reset it using your Apple ID'** after clicking the question mark next to the password box. \
2. If no question mark appears, press and hold the **power button until your Mac goes down**, then **click the power button to restart it.** \
3. Click **Next a**fter entering an Apple ID and password. \
To **reset your login password**, follow the steps below.
