He owns the total $21 Billion revenue for Mahindra & Mahindra conglomerate. The Mahindra group works in different fields like Agriculture Business, Automobile, Aerospace, Construction, Defence, Finance & Insurance, Information Technology, Hospitality, Real Estate, Retail, Energy, Farm Equipment, Industrial Equipment, and Aftermarket. Overall the Mahindra Group operates about 20 Industries. Mahindra is mainly famous for its Tractors and SUVs (Sports Utility Vehicle) such as Bolero and Scorpio. He also has a major portion of stakes in ‘Kotak Mahindra Bank’.

He completed his Bachelor and Master’s Degree from Harvard University and Harvard Business School respectively. He started his career in 1981, as an Executive Assistant to the Finance Director, in the subsidiary branch of Mahindra Ugine Steel Company Ltd. (MUSCo).

Anand Mahindra is a great entrepreneur as well as a good humanitarian. In 1996, he established a Non-Government Organization “Nanhi Kali”, which supports the education of underprivileged girls in India. With this organization, he provided support to about 1,30,000 girls.He even made a donation of $10 Million to his graduation college for support ‘Harvard Humanities Centre’. The college recognized his great gesture and renamed the center with ‘Mahindra Humanities Centre at Harvard’.

In 2004, he has been honored with “Rajiv Gandhi Award” for Outstanding contribution in the business field. In the same year, he received the Highest French Distinction “Knight of the Order of Merit” by the President of France. In 2011, he received ‘The Business Leader Award’ in the Asian Awards. In 2014, he was the ‘Business Today CEO of the Year’. in 2014, Harvard Alumni Association honored him with the ‘Harvard Medal’.
