What were Subhas Chandra Bose major contribution in India
He started his struggle of freedom by joining the Civil Disobedience Movement. At that time it was led by Mahatma Gandhi. At the same time, he qualified the then Indian Civil Services (ICS). But due to the insistence of Gandhi, he joined the Civil Disobedience Movement and committed to fighting for the freedom of the Country. After that, he became the active member of the Indian National Congress (INC).
In 1938 and 1939, he was chosen the President of the Indian National Congress. But he didn’t like the path of Gandhi and resigned from his post in 1940, and started his Forward Block. Due to his violent and appealing activity, he has been put into the house arrest by the British. But somehow secretly he left the country in 1941 and traveled westwards. Then he seeks help from Russia and Germany towards his struggle against the British. In 1943, he gets help from Japan and formed the Indian National Army with the Indian war prisoners.
Later, under the guidance of Bose, Indian National Army attacked North-Eastern India and succeeded in capturing few portions as well. However, Japanese policies forced the Indian National Army to surrender. But Bose can’t be the one who would like to surrender in front of the British. So, he flew and started his struggle again. And tried to escape on a plane from the Taihoku Airport but unfortunately, he never reached to his destination. The plane crashed in the mid-way at Formosa, the country which was then ruled by Japan. Then the news was circulated that, he suffered third-degree burns and went into the coma and never went out of it. As per the reports, he died on August 18, 1945.
Whereas, in contrary to that, it was believed that he was not on that plane and after that there were no information or traces of him either to the Indian Authorities or his family. So, it was believed that he didn’t die in that crash but where he is no one knows that. His death or living is still a mystery for the whole world.
