Dadabhai Naoroji is the name behind the first weekly paper, 'Voice of India,' published by the Indian National Congress in 1889, which later incorporated into Indian Spectator. Pioneered in Bombay, this weekly worked as the instrument for extending awareness and acknowledging rights and duties across the nation.Dadabhai Naoroji was the noted contributor to English newspapers and magazines such as the Commerce, the Contemporary Reviews, the Daily New, etc. He also published his statements by ways of facts and figures in a book titled ‘Poverty’ and ‘Un-British Rule in India,' which is believed to be the first economic critique of colonial India. He was a renowned founder of several magazines and journals such as Rast Goftar.
