Who won the ICC Test Cricketer of the Year award?

Steven Smith was awarded as the ICC Test Cricketer of the year award in the year 2017. Steve is Australian team’s captain for the Test and One Day. He is currently one of the best batsmen in the word and on 30th December he reached a Test batting rating of 947 which is the second highest as Sir Donald Bradman tops with the rating of 961.  

Born on 2nd June 1989 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Steve initially was selected as a leg-spinner but later after realizing his skills, he started batting primarily. Regarded as one of the best batsmen in the world Smith also leads New South Wales and Sydney Sixers in domestic cricket.
