Technology does connect us in a way that it disconnects us from the outer world
Technology has no doubt proved to be a boon in our society. From connecting people of all walks of life to helping to get any information; from e-learning to e-commerce; from knowledge hub to entertainment-provider- technology has given us all.
But it comes with its drawbacks too.
- After spending too much time on the internet the brain becomes exhausted and simultaneously, the body too. Afterwards the body does not wish to do anything extra, such as, taking a walk, playing outdoors, etc.
- The internet has the hub of all the knowledge in the world; therefore, people do not find the need to consult or interact with anyone anymore. They find anything they might be looking for on the internet and hence quality communication has reduced. Even meeting new people and getting to know them is going through 'chats', 'voice calls and video calls ' only.
- The quality of time one needs to spend with himself, i.e., personal time has been taken over by technology; which means we are continuously in contact with someone. To know ourselves better we need to spend some time alone, but due to the introduction of technology we have shifted that time span to 'internet'.
- Sometimes the availability of something too much can also cause exhaustion. The information that is available on the internet for students, adults and kids is way too much, they have access to everything. They click and read something and the other link appears before their eyes tempting them to click and go through it. This consumes too much of time in someone's daily life- leaving him alone and disconnected from the people & nature around him/her.
This is how, in my opinion, technology makes us more alone. Surely it is a boon to mankind but it is also a bane for these reasons.
