1. Long working hours, depending on the season and occasions the work shits can stretch to double of the regular 9hrs.

2. Being on your feet and stand upright/running around.It depends on the department you work in , housekeeping and food n beverage can become physically draining.

3. Need to be lively and smiling all the time, front-end jobs involve guest interactions hence you're expected to be presentable all the time regardless, however, you're feeling personal.

4. Struggle in initial years, not every hotel management graduate lands as a management trainee. However good hotel chains give you ample opportunity to grow if you're a performer!

5.Low basic pay as compared to many other entry-level jobs.

6. Travel around places for better opportunities, you can't stick around the hometown and expect to get all the exposure.
