There are tremendous benefits of drinking water early in the morning. In prabhat vela (usha kaal) which is upto two hours before sunrise, the human body has the preponderance of vata element in it. The increased vata is struggling to expel accumulated toxins out of the system.
The apana vata which is responsible for flushing out stools and urine is at work to remove the waste products. Other body doshas like kapha or pitta, if present interfere with the working of vata to flush out the toxins and body wastes. Water, especially warm water early in the morning comes in exactly here to help the vata to flush out body toxins and wastes. Early morning water, therefore, effectively detoxifies the body.
