French as an official language!
Well, French was known to be the official language of Pondicherry, which came into the authorization during the Treaty of Cession in the year of 1956. The Puducherry Official Language Act, 1965 unknowingly mentioning French added Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam to the list for Official Language including English as well.
