The first Chief female Chief Minister of India was Sucheta Kriplani, she served as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh from 2 October 1963 to 13 March 1967 .
She was born in Ambala, Haryana in Bengali Brahmo family and was an Indian freedom fighter and politician. She studied at Indraprashtha College and Punjab University before becoming a professor of constitutional history at BHU, Varanasi. Been a great freedom fighter she kept herself involved in Politics even after Independence of our Country.
She joined the short-lived party which was formed by his husband and defeated Congress candidate Manmohni Sahgal. Sucheta Kriplani also served as Minister of Labour, Community Development, and Industry in the Uttar Pradesh government
