After a recent Windows update, my laptop battery seems to drain much faster, even when I’m doing the same work as before. The battery is a couple of years old, so normal wear is possible too, but I don’t want to replace it if a background process is the real cause.
What’s a useful way to separate battery health problems from software-related drain? I can check the battery report and Task Manager, but I’m not sure which signs would point clearly in one direction.
