During Indian daytime, yes, pretty much. It got popular faster than they could add servers, and afternoons and evenings here overlap with peak time in China. So the site is basically full.
Tricks that work for me: use it early morning, before 9, and it's smooth. Switch off DeepThink if you don't need it, the reasoning mode is heavier on their side. Keep prompts short.
If you're using it for actual work rather than just playing, the API is more stable than the website. And the model itself is open, so other companies host the same thing. If DeepSeek's own site is constantly busy, you're not stuck with it.
