On monday evening around 7 PM in Delhi near the Red Fort Metro station a slow moving Hyundai i20 exploded.
From the moment after blast there is panic on the streets around the Red Fort as people are in fear. In the explosion several other vehicles also caught fire got damaged.
As per reports at least 13 people have been killed and 20 injured. No cause for the blast has been given, but police in the Inadia capital territory have invoked as “anti-terror” law.
After the blast , investigation has been going on however, home minister Amit Shah said A Hyundai i20 car exploded at the Subhash Marg traffic signal, all angles are being looked. Investigation is in the hands of top agencies"taking all possibilities into account" and the resuls will be presented before the public.
Prime minister Narendra Modi looking into the situation, spoke to HM Amit Shah. PM Modi said in post on X, " Condolences to those who lost their loved ones in the blast in Delhi, may all injured get recovered at earliest. All those affected are being assisted by authorities.
As per ANI news agency report, Home minister Amit Shah spoken to Delhi police commissioner Satish Golcha. He is also in touch with the Intelligence Bureau director.
At the spot of blast National Investigation Agency, forensic department specialist and NSG ( National Security Gaurd) has reached. A team of Delhi police special cell and the DIG CRPF have also arrived at site to check the damage caused by explosion.
Some states are out in high alert, they are Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana,poll bound Bihar and Uttarakhand. Apart from this Chandni chowk in Delhi will be closed and all railway stations have also been put on high alert.
