Instagram sometimes hides likes because of experiments they run. They have tested a feature where people can’t see like counts to reduce pressure. If this is turned on, you may not see likes. Also check your settings.

Sometimes you can hide like counts on your own posts without knowing. Another reason is app bug. If your Instagram app is not updated, it may show errors like no likes, comments missing, etc.

Try updating or reinstalling the app. If your account is new or flagged for spam, Instagram may restrict some features temporarily, including likes. Also check your internet connection because sometimes posts don’t load fully, so likes don’t appear. If others can see likes but you can’t, it’s probably settings or a bug.

STEP 1. Go to settings

STEP 2.  privacy

STEP 3.  posts and check if “hide like counts” is on.

STEP 4. Turn it off if you want to see likes.

In short, it can be either a restriction by Instagram for testing, a bug due to old app, or your own settings.
