One of the most significant inventions of the twentieth century was the computer. It has altered how we live, work, and communicate. Computers are now used for everything from booking a hotel room to ordering pizza.

However, with the increase in reliance on computers, there is a growing concern about how much control they have over our lives. This is particularly true when it comes to the way we access and use information.

There are a number of ways in which computers can control our lives. For example, they can:

Monitor our online activity: Every time we visit a website, our computer records the address of the site and the date and time of our visit. This data is then saved in a database.

Restrict our access to information: Computers can be programmed to block certain websites or even certain types of information.

Control our buying decisions: Computers can track our online behavior and use this information to target us with ads for products and services.

Manipulate our emotions: Social media platforms like Facebook use algorithms to show us content that is designed to provoke an emotional reaction.

Influence our opinions: The way information is presented to us on the internet can be biased towards a particular point of view.

Threaten our privacy: The personal information we share online is at risk of being accessed and used without our consent.

The concern about computers controlling our lives is not new. In fact, it is a theme that has been explored in works of fiction for many years.

One of the most famous examples is the novel 1984 by George Orwell. The book is set in a future world where the government uses computers to control the population.

Another example is the film The Matrix. In this film, the character Neo is living in a simulated reality created by computers.

How computer is controling our life?

In the past, we used to do things manually. We had to go to the library to borrow books. We had to go to the store to buy things. We had to go to the bank to withdraw money. Now, we can do all these things with the help of computer. We can borrow books from the library without leaving our home. We can buy things from the store without going there. We can withdraw money from the bank without going there.

  • Computer has also taken control of our communication. In the past, we used to communicate with each other through letters and phone calls. Now, we can communicate with each other through email and social networking sites.
  • Computer has also taken control of our entertainment. In the past, we used to watch television and listen to the radio. Now, we can watch movies and TV shows online. We can listen to music online.
  • Computer has also taken control of our education. In the past, we used to go to school to learn. Now, we can learn through the internet.
  • Computer has also taken control of our work. In the past, we used to work in offices. Now, we can work from home. All these changes have been brought by computer. It has made our life easier and more convenient. However, we cannot ignore the fact that it has also taken control of our life.

So, are computers really controlling our lives?

It is undeniable that computers have a great deal of control over the way we live. However, it is important to remember that we are still in control of our own lives. We can choose to use or not to use technology.

We can also choose how much information we share online. And, we can choose to be critical of the information that is presented to us.

In the end, it is up to each of us to decide how much control we want computers to have over our lives.
