Between 1983 and 2011, the Women's International Squash Players Association (WISPA) oversaw the women's professional squash circuit. There were more than 80 tournaments on the WISPA World Tour each year. The WISPA has more than 200 registered players.

The association's objectives were to:

Increase exposure for the sport and its players; promote professionalism among its members; raise the administrative standards at events; increase the level of support and advice provided to promoters; and enhance communication and relationships with other squash organisations and the media. This will enable more players to consider a professional squash career as an economically viable option.
The Women's Squash Association now oversees the new women's squash competition (WSA).

WISPA is related to which of the following sports?

Between 2011 and 2014, the Women's Squash Association (WSA) oversaw the women's professional squash circuit. Based in London, England, it was. The organisation functioned similarly to the WTA in tennis. Every year, more than 100 tournaments throughout the world were a part of the WSA World Tour. The WSA had over 250 players registered, and player performances were used to update rankings every month. The WSA and the PSA announced a historic merger between the two organisations in November 2014. The PSA will begin serving as the governing body for both the women's and men's ranks on January 1 as a result of a decision that was made.
