How many Gold medals India won in CWG 2022?

After 12 days of nonstop, nonstop competition, the 22nd Commonwealth Games came to an end on Monday.

After Australia (178 medals), England (176 medals), and Canada in the medal count, Team India came in fourth place (92 medals). Overall, Indian athletes brought home 61 medals, including 22 gold, 16 silver, and 23 bronze. Given that there was no shooting at the Birmingham Games this time, the final total is just 5 medals less than what India won at the CWG 2018 (66 medals).

Shooting helped India's final medal total of 66 in 2018 by as many as 16 medals. Shooting has historically been a significant medal winner for India at multi-discipline competitions, particularly at the Commonwealth Games, and had it been included in the Birmingham schedule, India would have won a lot more medals.

Vinesh Phogat- At the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Vinesh Phogat won her final group match against Chamodya Keshani Maduravalage Don of Sri Lanka to win the women's 53 kg gold medal.

Naveen- In the men's freestyle 74 kg division in wrestling, Naveen defeated Muhammad Sharif Tahir of Pakistan to win a gold medal.

Bhavina Patel- Bhavina Patel, a prominent Indian para table tennis player, won the women's singles class 3-5 gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in 2022.

Ravi Kumar Dahiya- At the Commonwealth Games 2022, wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya defeated Nigeria's Ebikewenimo Welson to win gold in the men's 57 kg freestyle division.

Nitu Ghanghas- In the currently taking place Commonwealth Games 2022, Indian boxer Nitu Ghanghas won the women's 48 kg title with a Gold Medal.

Amit Panghal- In Birmingham 2022, Indian boxer Amit Panghal won the men's 51 kg title, and it was gold rain for India.
