Netflix used to rely on third-party suppliers to host their material, but they started building their own content delivery network a few years ago (CDN). All of your binge watching is now cached and transmitted through the Netflix-created specialised network. After then, the cache can be transmitted to practically any location on the planet. Because of the worldwide network of servers, the media you stream can be sourced locally, reducing bandwidth and enhancing performance.

However, the material must still reach the user from the content delivery network, thus internet service providers connect to the network at enormous data centres around the world to keep everything connected. Netflix can also establish a CDN on the provider's premises, lowering bandwidth expenses.
