Netflix's algorithm is so bad that it frequently suggests either strange content or the same shows and movies over and over. To resolve this, reset the algorithm so that you are treated as a brand new account. This can be accomplished in two ways:
- Delete your existing profile and create a new one.
- If you cannot delete your profile, you can delete your watch history, which will also reset the algorithm. The major disadvantage of this method is that you must delete everything individually; there is no bulk delete option.
- To delete your watch history, follow these steps:
- Open the Netflix app -> click the profile icon -> select Account.
- Scroll all the way down to 'Profile and Parental Controls.'
- Click the downward arrow next to the profile you want to view.
- Navigate to the Viewing activity.
- For relevant shows, click the 'Hide from viewing history' icon to the right.
