Check that your device is connected via an HD video output method, such as HDMI or Component Video. You should also ensure that your device's video output settings are set to 720p or higher.
  • Most TV shows and movies are available in high-definition (HD) streaming on Netflix. Not all content is available in high definition.
  • A Netflix plan that allows for HD streaming.
  • A device with a minimum HD resolution of 720p.
  • Not all devices support HD streaming. If you are unsure whether HD streaming is supported by your device, contact the manufacturer.
  • A consistent internet connection speed of at least 5 megabits per second. For more information, see our article on Internet Connection Speed Recommendations.
  • Set the streaming quality to High or Auto.
