Why we use tree topology?

Tree topologies are commonly used in corporate networks to organise data in databases and workstations. Any two linked nodes in a tree topology can only have one mutual connection, so there can only be one link between them.

• By connecting several components to the centre node, a tree topology combines several star topologies.
• Experts define tree topology as a combination of bus and star topologies in which all nodes are connected via a single central node.
• In this architecture, each node is connected one to one in a hierarchy level, with each neighbouring node on a lower level. Each secondary node has a direct link to the parent node, and all secondary nodes under its jurisdiction have direct links to the tertiary nodes. When viewed visually, these systems resemble a tree structure.
