The Intel Core i5 and AMD Ryzen 5 processors are mid-range processors. They enable you to play average games as well as work in Photoshop. AMD Ryzen 5 processors are slightly less powerful than Intel i5 processors. They have a clock speed of up to 4.4GHz, as opposed to the i5's 4.6GHz. They do, however, have twice as many threads. The AMD Ryzen 5 3600 is also notable for its low power consumption of 65W.

In single-threaded work, the Core i5-12400 is 13.5 percent faster than the Ryzen 5 5600G (10 percent faster after tuning the 5600G), and a whopping 24 percent and 27 percent faster than the Ryzen 5 3600X and 3600, respectively.
