In obedience to innumerable Metaverse enthusiasts, it's the next most notable thing since the internet. It's going to transmogrify its online presence. It's the next colossus of automation leap that will merge blockchain technology, cryptocurrency, AR, and VR. It's going to replace our prevalent internet.
The Metaverse will not replace the internet. The metaverse will use the internet to dispense services. For Example, Blockchains, YouTube, and Facebook haven't replaced the internet; in lieu, they're products that use the internet.
Metaverse is not a secluded virtual world. But an assortment of virtual universes with interdependence, interworking, and universe device support.
Universal device support is indispensable. We don't categorically need a VR or AR device to access Metaverse. Any smartphone, PC, game console, and tablet will countenance us to enter the Metaverse.
If a product isn't accommodating enough, the VR will not make it more utilitarian. For example, watching films in a theatre is a considerable worldliness compared to watching in our home. But if the movie is inadequately made, the theatre will not mutate the movie into a blockbuster film.
Consequently, if an app or service isn't benevolent, Metaverse will not transform it into a beneficial product. And if the Metaverse is full of substandard products, it will dwindle to become mainstream.
Whether a product will be burgeoning or not depends on three things:
- Do the products save our time and money?
- Does it truncate our physical work?
- Is it accomplished more than existing products?
The way metaverse is materialized by Mark Zuckerberg and other CEOs is unappealing. For example, in line with Mark's vision, the Metaverse is a virtual world where people would hold office meetings, meet friends, attend concerts, shop, socialize, etc.
If this is the conceptualization, then it's no contrast with the current second life, VRChat, Fortnight, and other virtual verisimilitude products. Moreover, these products are approachable only among a niche community.
Mark Zuckerberg believes that the Metaverse will be the next in line of the mobile internet. He anticipates it will replace most real-life maneuvers such as online meetings, social get-togethers, etc.
But shopping or meeting in a virtual world doesn't save time or diminish our physical work. Amazon, Zoom is preferable for these activities.
