  • The iPhone's compact size makes it more portable and easy to transport. Its design is also sleeker due to its lower size. The iPad is larger and heavier than the iPhone, making it less portable. However, because of its larger size, you have more screen space to deal with. Most iPhones can be operated and handled with one hand, but the iPad requires both hands.
  • Another difference between the iPhone and the iPhone is the battery capacity. The iPhone 11 Pro Max, for example, has a battery capacity of 3969 mAh, whilst the iPad Pro 12.9' has a battery capacity of 9720 mAh. Apple (and other smartphone) battery life varies depending on usage and settings.
  • You want a phone for its main purpose: making phone calls. It's one of the few areas where the iPhone outperforms the iPad.
  • A cellular network or a Wi-Fi connection can be used to make and receive phone calls on an iPhone. Unfortunately, the iPad does not share this trait. Using Wi-Fi Calling to relay phone calls through your iPhone, you can only make and receive calls on your iPad.
