Which regular iPad models support Sidecar?
  • Mac adds a second screen with the addition of Sidecar. Sidecar is a function built into macOS and iPadOS that allows users to wirelessly or wired connect their devices. The iPad becomes a second screen for the Mac when connected; you may switch apps to it and position it to your main Mac screen just like any other external monitor.
  • Sidecar requires iPads with Apple Pencil capability. In addition, your iPad must be running iPadOS 13 or later. The following is a list of iPads that support Sidecar:
  • Models of the iPad Pro
  • iPad (6th generation or later)
  • Mini iPad (5th generation or later)
  • iPad Air (3rd generation or later)
